The apps and this website are aids to the pilot. They do not replace official charts and publications, an official weather and NOTAM briefing, your aircraft's flight manual, your operator's procedures or instructions from air traffic control. Always verify information with current official sources before and during flight.

The pilot in command remains solely responsible for the safety of the flight, for the decisions made and for compliance with all applicable regulations. The apps are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or any other aviation authority.

IFR Navigation Planner

IFR Navigation Planner supplements, and never replaces, your aircraft's installed, certified avionics; it is not a primary means of navigation.

On iPad, its charts, weather, NOTAMs and flight plan are designed for use as Type B EFB applications under FAA AC 120-76E within an operator's authorized EFB program, or by Part 91 pilots under AC 91-78. On iPhone, it is for flight planning only. The app is not FAA-certified, and use under an operator's EFB program is subject to that operator's own evaluation and authorization.

Auto Route proposals, performance and EET estimates, weather and NOTAMs are advisory and do not replace an official briefing or your ATC clearance. Performance figures are typical planning values; correct them for your aircraft from its flight manual. Own-ship position is for situational awareness only. Confirm the navigation data cycle is current before every flight.

FlightMate Pilot Tools

FlightMate Pilot Tools is intended for professional pilots, amateur pilots and aviation personnel. Weather, NOTAM decoding, calculator results (including climb gradient, crosswind, fuel, cold-temperature corrections and holdover times) and airport information are provided for reference only. Airport notes shared by other users are not verified. Always consult official sources and your airline's guidance for flight operations.

FlightMate Pilot Logbook

Flight, duty and rest calculations, currency tracking and expiry reminders in FlightMate Pilot Logbook are aids to record keeping. They do not replace the regulations, your operator's flight time limitation scheme or your licensing authority's requirements. You are responsible for the accuracy of your logbook entries and for checking any limit or expiry date against the official source.

No warranty and limitation of liability

The apps and their data are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose. Data may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any loss, damage or claim arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the apps or their data. Use of the apps is also governed by Apple's Terms of Use (EULA).

FAA data disclaimer

IFR Navigation Planner uses FAA data products, including the Coded Instrument Flight Procedures (CIFP). The FAA requires that product developers and manufacturers include the following warranty disclaimers:

1. Under 10 U.S.C. 456, no civil action may be brought against the United States on the basis of the content of a navigational aid prepared or disseminated by the FAA.
2. The CIFP product is provided “as is” and no warranty, express or implied, including, but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for particular purpose or arising by statute or otherwise in law or from a course of dealing or usage in trade, is made by the FAA as to the accuracy and functioning of the product.
3. Neither the FAA nor its personnel will be liable for any claims, losses, or damages arising from or connected with the use of this product. The user agrees to hold harmless the United States Federal Aviation Administration. The user’s sole and exclusive remedy is to stop using the CIFP product.
